When producing translucent structures made of PVC and aluminum, profiles are decorated with special light-resistant PVC films. These films and profiles require a specialized adhesive that can withstand significant temperature fluctuations and also provide sufficient bond strength to non-stick materials such as PVC and aluminum. Kleiberit pioneered the production of adhesives for window systems.
For cladding PVC and aluminum profiles, use the special Kleiberit 831.0 primer. The binder can be a solvent-based adhesive with a hardener added to improve the adhesive's heat resistance (Kleiberit 257.7) or Kleiberit 261.7 + 870.0 hardener).
Today, the most popular adhesives for wrapping PVC profiles are Kleiberit's special PUR melts: 704.5, 704.3, and 704.0. These adhesives are specifically approved for window system production and allow for speeds of up to 80 m/min.
