For decorating furniture boards with various sheet and roll materials, dispersion adhesives based on PVA were previously used.

The presence of water in the dispersion adhesive led to swelling of the top layer of wood boards made of MDF or chipboard, and these defects appeared under the decorative material.

The solution to this problem was the use of polyurethane (PUR) hot-melt adhesives, which do not contain water or solvents. These adhesives, with their high initial strength, allow for the bonding of even the most rigid sheet materials (HPL, metal, acrylic plastic, PET) with minimal consumption.

Hot glue is applied to the surface of the board using rollers, then the facing material is applied and the piece is passed through a roller press.

This technology is used to produce not only high-gloss furniture boards, but also lightweight honeycomb structures, wall panels, and interior door panels.
